Postcards From The Pandemic: Alex Bevan's Daily Coronavirus Concert
Shortly after Ohio Governor Mike DeWine began doing daily coronavirus briefings, Cleveland singer-songwriter Alex Bevan decided to play an online concert every day until the stay-at-home order is lifted. "The governor comes on with his updates at 2 o'clock, so at about 3:30 I start playing," Bevan said. Since March 20, Bevan has performed seven days a week on his Facebook page for about an hour.

Mayfield Heights Considering Income Tax Hike
Mayfield Heights residents will consider a proposal that would increase income taxes from 1 percent to 1.5 percent on Tuesday’s ballot. Mayfield Heights City Council has already earmarked the $4 to $5 million a year it is expected to bring for road and sidewalk repair and improvements at the city pool, said Mayor Anthony DiCicco. “Fiscally, we’re sound right now,” DiCicco said. “But we can’t afford to put $2 or $3 million a year into roads and $2 or $3 million into a park or a pool, if Issue 9 doesn’t pass.”
Father Jim O'Donnell Celebrates St. Patrick's Day with Cleveland-Irish Memories
Sunday is St. Patrick's Day. It's a day of celebration for those with Irish heritage and often others who join in the revelry. As people prepare to commemorate the day, we call upon two mainstays in the Cleveland Irish Community, Father Jim O'Donnell and the late Kevin McGinty, a radio host at 90.3. At St. Colman's Church on Cleveland's west side, 88-year-old Father Jim O'Donnell plans to be at morning mass Sunday.

Updated: 3:28 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 A federal grand jury has indicted Cleveland City Councilman Ken Johnson on charges that he conspired to steal city money and federal community development dollars, according to U.S. District Court documents unsealed Tuesday. Johnson was arrested Tuesday morning and pleaded not guilty by videoconference in federal court in the afternoon.
