Columbus City Council member Shayla Favor has announced that she will be running for Franklin County Prosecutor in 2024 to replace retiring Franklin County Prosecutor Gary Tyack.
Favor is joining three other candidates who have already announced their candidacy: Democrats Natalia Harris and Anthony Pierson and Republican John Rutan.
Harris is currently the Delaware City Attorney, Pierson is deputy chief counsel in Tyack's office and Rutan is a local defense attorney.
Favor has recently won her re-election bid for her current position on the Columbus City Council.
