Election Day is Tuesday. That is when the final votes are cast. Early voting ends Sunday.
Just one more weekend of muting political ads during football games and Jeopardy.
Just a few more days for candidates to travel the state in their fancy buses to try to get their voters to cast ballots.
Here is where we stand. Pretty much where we have been for the past month or so.
The latest poll done by Suffolk University for the USA Today Ohio Network has Amy Acton with a 4-point lead over Vivek Ramaswamy in the race for governor and Sherrod Brown with a 3-point lead over Jon Husted in the race for U.S. Senate.
Vivek Ramaswamy continues to run his controversial ad featuring Amy Acton's mother, but the campaign has shortened it. The ad has her mother accusing Acton of generically lying, not lying about her background. The image of the tent is gone.
Former President Barack Obama was in Cleveland last weekend urging voters to support Brown and Acton, and making fun of former President Donald Trump and chain restaurants.
Trump was in Chillicothe on Wednesday night, where he promised Ohio some potential pork. If John Husted wins the Senate race, he said, he'll consider putting a new space academy in the state.
That was Trump's third visit to Ohio in the past month as he tried to pull Jon Husted and Vivek Ramaswamy over the finish line.
So here we are, just a few days before the final votes are cast and all the votes are counted. Is it the calm before the storm or the storm before the calm?
That is the question for our guest, Bowling Green State University political science professor Robert Alexander.
Snollygoster of the week
At a rally in Cleveland last week, former President Barack Obama made fun of how Donald Trump is focused on decorating. He said, "He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. It's just gold everywhere."
Trump fired back that Obama is an elitist, keeping the quip in the media spotlight.
No matter where your allegiance lies, it's been a whole lot of free publicity for the restaurant chain.
