The annual matchup between Ohio State and Michigan reverts back to Michigan Stadium on Saturday.

Ohio State's playoff hopes and shot at a Big Ten championship took a major hit last weekend. This week the Buckeyes move on to face Michigan to close out the regular season.

That collective sigh you heard around Central Ohio about 7 o’clock last Saturday night was Ohio State football fans having the wind knocked out of their sails.

The Buckeyes took their first loss of the season to a Michigan State that just out played OSU. For a recap and a preview for this Saturday's game at Michigan, Steve sat down with Eleven Warriors reporter Eric Seger.

Crew Take Command Of MLS Playoffs
A championship looking less likely for OSU this week, but it's looking more likely for the Columbus Crew. The soccer team leads Major League Soccer’s eastern conference finals one game to zero.

It’s a two-game series that uses aggregate scoring, so the team with the most combined goals in both games advances. The Crew won game one 2-0, so even if they lose game 2 1-0, they’re in the MLS final.

For more, Steve spoke with Massive Report Crew writer Pat Murphy.

Robot Writing The News
If you pick up a sports section in Ohio, there’s an increasing chance the story you’re reading was written by a computer. The Ohio Associated Press started using computer-generated sports stories this fall.

We wanted to replay a conversation we had when the news broke in the spring. Kevin Smith is the former ethics chair for the Society of Professional Journalists.

Plain City Company Makes Baseball Bats For The World's Best
If you drive from Marysville to Dublin on U.S. Route 33, you'll see lots of buildings, including a catering business and a Harley Davidson dealership. One business you may have missed along the way is the Phoenix Bat Company.

They make wooden baseball bats for everyone from beer league softball players, vintage baseball players and the world's best hitters. For an encourage presentation, Steve and Thomas replay Steve’s tour of the bat factory.

Watch the video below to see how the raw piece of wood called a billet becomes a baseball bat in two minutes at Phoenix Bats' facility on Plain City.
