South Side Hero's Fight Against Georgia-Pacific
Nicole Sutton from the Columbus Metropolitan Library shares photos of Roberta Jones-Booth, a dedicated South Side activist.
From 1970 to 1980, Jones-Booth led the community in a significant battle against the Georgia-Pacific plant, which had numerous hazardous material failures impacting the Columbus Southend for years.
Her relentless efforts resulted in a $22 million settlement awarded to the affected community members.
