Turkey Weighs Sending Troops to Iraq

The United States and Turkey are negotiating over the deployment of several thousand Turkish soldiers as peacekeepers in Iraq. Relations between the U.S. and Turkey soured when Ankara refused to let American forces use Turkish territory to launch the invasion of Iraq. Public opinion in Turkey remains strongly opposed to the U.S. occupation. Hear NPR's Ivan Watson.
