Gary Siders Sr. is one of four adults charged with child endangering in Vinton County.

Gary Siders Sr., one of the four adults charged with child endangering in Vinton County in a case where 16 children were found living in filthy conditions - is now out of jail.

Siders appeared in a Vinton County court on Monday, where a judge signed a $300,000 recognizance bond, allowing Siders to return home and undergo electronic monitoring.

The eldest member of the Siders family had spent the last few weeks undergoing medical care after falling ill while in jail.

Details of the case remain scarce after a judge issued multiple gag orders.

Siders' wife, son, and daughter-in-law remain in jail as they await their next court hearings.

Attorneys for Siders Sr., his wife Christine, and his son Gary Jr., have requested competency hearings for their clients.
