WOSU Public Media names veteran journalist Stu Osborne as the new host of the daily drivetime segment, Morning Edition.

“I am excited to join the award‑winning team at WOSU 89.7, guiding listeners through their mornings and telling them about everything happening in Columbus and around the region,” Osborne said.

Osborne comes to 89.7 WOSU News after 16 years with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, spending the majority of that time with WSYX ABC 6. During his tenure, Osborne produced Good Day Columbus, ABC 6 News at Noon, and The Football Fever, among other shows. He also served as Executive Producer of Digital and Social Media at ABC 6 and Assistant News Director at Dayton 24/7 Now during his time with Sinclair.

“Stu has a long history in the Columbus market as a television producer and radio news host. He knows what’s going on in central Ohio and what’s important to our listeners and readers. He will be a great addition to our talented team,” said WOSU News Director Mark Ferenchik.

A Morehead State University graduate, Osborne serves on the Board of Directors of the Morehead State University Alumni Association. He and his wife live in Prairie Township. They have two kids and a couple of cats who only like to cuddle when they feel like it.

Osborne will join the award‑winning news team at WOSU Public Media in April.
