Kaleidoscope Youth Center, the Columbus based LGBTQ+ nonprofit, said a loss in funding has led to layoffs and paused the organization’s planned expansion into northwest Ohio.

The Friday announcement said the funding loss has led to the elimination of three staff positions. The announcement did not include the amount of funding that was lost.

A spokesperson from the center said the funding cut is unrelated to cuts that caused the closure of the center’s housing program in September.

The center added in its announcement that it plans to focus resources on maintaining its Columbus programs and still support Findlay-area organizations through collaborations.
