A Delaware County daycare operator who was already facing charges of kidnapping and child endangering was indicted on more charges Wednesday.

Rhonda Coomes, 53, of Randor, was already accused of hitting a 10-month-old girl in the face with her palm then six times using a hard plastic diaper wipe container. The child reportedly suffered a black eye.

Coomes faces one count of kidnapping and three counts of child endangering in that case, which was filed in January in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.

On Wednesday, Coomes was indicted on three more kidnapping charges and 14 child endangerment charges.

The indictment does not give details of the additional alleged incidents, but shows they took place between January 2021 and September 2023. Many documents in the case are sealed by request of the victims.

Coomes was listed as a licensed home daycare provider in Randor, about 15 minutes northwest of Delaware.
