Columbus police are investigating an incident where two men were caught on camera vandalizing a pride flag at a home in the Weinland Park area as a hate crime.
The incident occurred on the night of Thursday, Feb. 8, and the surveillance video was posted to the social media platform Reddit on Sunday, Feb. 11.
CPD reached out to the victims after the video was reported to police.
The video shows two men walking up to the house. One man in a blue sweatshirt exposed himself, which was blurred in the video, and urinated on the pride flag on the porch, while holding up his middle finger and yelling homophobic remarks.
The other man, in a red sweatshirt, is seen recording on his phone and laughing. The man in the blue sweatshirt is then seen hitting the house two times, before both men run away laughing.
The two men have not yet been identified or charged.
