I-71 South re-opened at I-270 in north Columbus after crash involving crane and bridge

All lanes of I-71 South at I-270 in north Columbus are back open after being shut down Tuesday morning due to a crash involving a crane and a bridge.

One person was injured after a crane that was being hauled bumped into a bridge and fell into the road on I-71 South near the Weber Road exit in north Columbus.

Columbus police say the crash happened around 11:45 a.m.

Columbus police said about three cars collided with the crane and one person inside one of the vehicles was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
