Columbus police said a man is in stable condition after being shot by an officer Sunday.
Police said one officer fired at the man during a foot chase that followed a traffic stop at the intersection of Stanley and Wilson Avenues on the Southeast side Sunday around 3 p.m.
Police said a gun was recovered at the scene. The male was transported to an area hospital in serious condition, but was upgraded to stable condition at the hospital.
Officers detained additional occupants from inside the vehicle. No officers were injured during the incident.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting.
