Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost partners with Columbus Crew on human trafficking PSA

Columbus Crew

Attorney Dave Yost is partnering with the Columbus Crew to raise awareness about human trafficking at home games.

Starting Saturday, a public service announcement will play during pre-game activities at Lower.com Field that shows fans how to recognize signs of sex and labor trafficking and how to report a potential problem.

Yost published the PSA on YouTube.

“A person might be a victim if they are unable to come and go as they please, if they show signs of physical, mental or emotional abuse,” he said.

In a news release, Yost said the regional human trafficking task force had made 639 arrests statewide since 2019 since the Human Trafficking Initiative began. It's the latest effort of its kind in Ohio.

Earlier this year the University of Dayton took part in a poster campaign during NCAA’s March Madness. The Cincinnati Reds also air a similar PSA at Great American Ball Park.
