Columbus Police Release More Details On Triple Murder

Columbus police say community members have helped identify several people as potential suspects in a triple murder that claimed the lives of two young children earlier this month.

At a Tuesday press conference, detective Terry Kelley also said surveillance footage shows a second vehicle sat at the scene of the shooting for several hours before it occurred.

“That would tell you that they sat there and they reconned, or they scouted out this location for some time,” Kelley said.

The shooting at an apartment complex on Kodiak Drive near Canal Winchester claimed the lives of Londynn Wall-Neal, 6, Demetrius Wall-Neal, 9, and Charles Wade, 22. Police say their bodies were found inside a bullet-riddled car.

At the Tuesday press conference, Kelley once again urged any potential witnesses to come forward, saying their observations are more helpful than technology.

“I need that information about anybody who has first-hand knowledge of this incident,” Kelley said.

“We are working day and night on this, but I need that one little bit of information to put this over the edge. I need the community’s help. I need the public’s help to say that this is not OK.”

Police previously said that whoever killed the three likely knew there were children in the car when they opened fire.
