Upper Arlington Woman Arrested For Murder Of Father On Halloween

The daughter of an Upper Arlington couple faces murder and assault charges in a fatal shooting that left one of her parents dead.

The shooting happened on Halloween evening at 3303 Colchester Road. Upper Arlington Police found James Roth, 61, inside his home with multiple gunshot wounds. He did not survive.

His wife, Elizabeth Roth, 60, also suffered multiple gunshot wounds. She was listed in stable condition at Riverside Hospital.

After speaking to witnesses, police launched a search for the couple’s daughter. They arrested Kristin Roth, 31, at her home in the Upper Arlington area. She was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

She has been charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault.
