Not long after Gov. Mike DeWine’s inaugural, former Gov. John Kasich announced his new gig: CNN commentator.
Kasich announced Tuesday he signed with CNN as a political commentator for various shows. His first appearance will be on “Cuomo Prime Time” on Tuesday night..
The news came just two days after Kasich concluded his eight years as Ohio governor. On Monday, the same day as DeWine’s inauguration, Kasich announced he signed with the LA-based United Talent Agency.
Kasich been vague about his plans after leaving the governor’s office. But he’s a known quantity for the network, since he has been interviewed on air many times about President Trump’s policies.

Kasich has been a prominent critic of Trump since July 2015 when both were running for the Republican presidential nomination. Before becoming governor, Kasich was the host of a Fox News weekend show called “Heartland.”
The 66-year-old Republican has repeatedly said he’s considering a 2020 presidential bid.
