Central Crossing High School Band Director Keith Hallas is on paid administrative leave after authorities found he allegedly had nude images of a student on his phone.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, Hallas received nude pictures of a 17-year-old female student in May 2016. The former student reported the incident to Grove City Police yesterday.

Hallas, 40, was charged with "pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor," which is a fourth-degree felony.

According to the criminal complaint, Hallas admitted receiving the nude photos when interviewed by Grove City police.

He was placed on administrative leave yesterday when the district learned about the charges.

Hallas appeared in court Friday morning and is being held in the Franklin County jail.
