The Columbus Division of Police has identified the two officers involved in the fatal shooting of a woman on the city's southeast side last weekend.

The officers were identified Monday as Glenn Thivener, a 29-year veteran of the force, and Officer Keith Kise, a 22-year vet. Both are members of the division's SWAT team.

Police say Thivener and Kise fired at Kaitlin Marie Demeo, 25, early Saturday morning after she opened fire during a standoff that started several hours earlier at a home on Whims Road.

Police say they were responding to a report of shots fired in the area, and Demeo barricaded herself inside a home with a rifle once officers arrived. Police say she was shot after firing from an upstairs window.

Police say the shooting is the fourth officer-involved shooting in Columbus in 2018.
