Former Ohio State Football Player Indicted On Rape Charges

Ohio State Buckeyes

A Franklin County grand jury on Thursday returned an indictment for three counts of rape against former Ohio State running back Bri’onte Dunn.

Prosecutors say the alleged victim received a phone call from Dunn at 4:15 a.m. on August 20, asking for a ride. The victim told police she picked up Dunn and took him back to her house.

The victim told police she assumed Dunn would get another ride from there and went to bed, and Dunn got into her bed a few minutes later and forced her to have sex.

Police also initially charged Dunn with kidnapping, but that charge was not pursued by prosecutors.

Dunn, 24, was kicked off the Ohio State football team after pleading no contest to misdemeanor assault against a different woman in July of 2016. He was given two years’ probation and was still on probation at the time of the latest allegations.

Dunn is scheduled for arraignment on October 16.
