The convicted felon who escaped from a Hilltop psychiatric facility over the weekend is back in custody.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies say Robert Gardner was spotted walking near the Polaris Mall on Sunday, one day after he escaped from the Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare Hospital.
Gardner was apprehended without incident.
Gardner, 47, is awaiting trial on an aggravated robbery charge in Morrow County. He was released from prison last December after serving 16 years for aggravated robbery.
