A man has been killed and a 17-year-old wounded in a shooting in the parking lot of a Wendy's on West Broad Street in Columbus.
The shooting happened Tuesday evening in the Franklinton neighborhood.
Police say 38-year-old Edwin Guerrero was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 17-year-old boy also was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police say they are not releasing his name for his own safety.
They say it appears the shooting stemmed from some sort of altercation between two groups of people in the parking lot of the Wendy's.
The investigation is ongoing.
