Green Party Presidential Candidate Jill Stein Flew To Wrong City Ahead Of Capital University Speech

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was supposed to speak at Capital University at noon today, but will be a couple hours late to the podium.

Turns out, she flew to the wrong city. Stein flew to Cincinnati instead of Columbus, where she was supposed to speak at the Capital University Campus Greens event.

At the time her speech was supposed to happen, about 100 people were on the lawn at Capital University. It is unclear whether they will stick around the two hours it will take her to drive from Cincinnati to Columbus.

Exact details for how the mix up occurred are not yet available.

In the race for president, Stein is polling at about 3 percent, behind Democrat Hillary Clinton, Republican Donald Trump and Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson.

Stay with WOSU News, as we’ll update you on the speech, when it happens.
