Hundreds Gather To Remember Worthington Teen Killed In Weekend Crash

Marist College

Two members of the Worthington Kilbourne High School water polo team are recovering from the  weekend crash that took the life of a recent Kilbourne graduate.

Courtney Fisher, 19, died in the crash. She was a 2015 graduate of Worthington Kilbourne and a former captain of the water polo team.

The conditions of 15-year-old Samantha Fink and 14-year-old Sydney Zullich were upgraded from critical to serious over the weekend. The other two students and their mother remain in critical condition after Friday's crash.

Authorities say the mother was driving the van carrying members of the Worthington Kilbourne High School water polo team to a tournament when the van collided with a semitrailer south of Toledo.

Authorities say the van's driver failed to yield at the intersection.

Hundreds of people gathered at Worthington Kilbourne High School on Sunday to remember Fisher and pray for the recovery of the others injured.
