Columbus Police say someone opened fire on officers who were investigating reports of another shooting overnight.
Police say officers were waiting for detectives to arrive on the scene at 1175 Windsor Avenue around midnight they heard shots that sounded like they came from a "high caliber firearm."
No officers were injured and no arrests were immediately reported.
