A poll of several swing states says Ohio is the only one where more residents oppose transgender people having a choice over which bathroom they use, compared to those who support bathroom choice.
The survey by Quinnipiac University says 48 percent of Ohio voters say transgender people should not be able to use the bathroom that correspondents with their gender identity.
The poll says 43 percent of Ohio voters support transgender people being able to choose.
The only demographic supporting transgender bathroom choice was Democrats, by a 52 to 39 percent margin.
The same Quinnipiac poll says 49 percent of Ohio voters are “very concerned” or “somewhat concerned” about themselves or someone they know contracting the Zika virus.
Fifty-one percent of Ohio voters say the U.S. should compete in the Brazil Olympics, despite the threat of Zika. Thirty percent say U.S. athletes should be kept at home.
The Quinnipiac Swing State Poll also surveyed voters in Florida and Pennsylvania.
