It’s about to get a lot easier to watch Columbus Crew SC games on television.
The team announced Thursday that it’s reached a deal including previous partner Time Warner Cable, as well as the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which operates many of the over-the-air TV stations in Central Ohio.
The team says all 31 of the Crew games that aren’t on national TV will be available locally. Twenty-five games will air on Channel 53, the local CW affiliate. Two will be broadcast on Ch. 28, one on Ch. 6, and four others on 6.2.
Under the previous deal, fans had to have Time Warner Cable to be able to view most Crew games.
