Improving neighborhoods was one of the focuses of Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther’s first State of the City address Wednesday night.
Ginther says the city will invest $27 million in capital projects in Linden, and $34 million in The Hilltop, including sidewalks along Mound Street.
Ginther says the city will also convert a closed Linden alternative school into a 200-student preschool.
“In Linden, the Near South Side, the Near East Side, the Hilltop, Franklinton, the Northeast, the Southeast, and in Northland, we are working to educate, engage and enlist residents as advocates and ambassadors on this issue,” Ginther said.
Ginther gave the address at his alma mater, Whetstone High School.
