Overnight Snows Leads To Slick Commute, School Cancellations

File photo

It's a slow commute around Central Ohio, especially in areas south of Columbus.

A weather system that moved into the region overnight and slammed outlying areas with several inches of snow.

The weather led to Level 1 snow emergencies in Fairfield, Fayette, Hocking, Pickaway, and Ross Counties early Tuesday morning, while some areas north of Columbus saw little to no accumulation.

The weather pushed many districts to delay or cancel classes, including Southwest Licking, Groveport Madison, and Canal Winchester.
