Former Olentangy Teacher Gets 76 Years To Life In Prison For Molesting Students

Deleware County Sheriff's Office

Convicted child molester and former Olentangy school teacher Matthew Rausenberg found out this morning he will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.  He kept his head down as a judge rattled off prison terms for each of the 41 counts Rausenberg was found guilty of committing.

“This results in a total definite sentence of 76 years, plus an indefinite sentence of 30 years to life.”

A jury found Rausenberg had molested a number of girls in his classroom over several years, while he was a teacher at Arrowhead Elementary School in Lewis Center.

Rausenberg was also ordered to pay court costs and he will have to register as a child sex offender, if he is ever released from prison.
