Investigators have pinpointed the cause of an explosion that destroyed a south Columbus home this week.
Investigators say the defective installation of a gas shut-off valve for a stove was at fault for Tuesday's explosion on Lock Avenue. Fire investigators say the incident was accidental.
Investigators say the leak occurred after a 69-year-old man disconnected the stove and changed the gas shut-off valve.
Morris and his 3-year-old great-granddaughter were treated at hospitals for burns and are expected to recover.
