Sheriff Zach Scott and the Franklin County Jail face a lawsuit over the death of a woman in custody earlier this year.

The sheriff’s office say Mary McCoy died of natural causes in April.

The lawsuit says McCoy suffered from alcohol withdrawal, shock, and gastroinstetinal emergency and says jail staff failed to provide proper treatment.
