The Columbus Dispatch has named its next editor. The Dispatch announced Tuesday that it’s promoting interim editor Alan Miller to the position full-time.
Miller took over in June when long-time editor Ben Marrison stepped down. Miller previously worked as managing editor for news at the Dispatch for 11 years. A press release from the paper calls Miller a talented journalist with a deep understanding of and affection for Central Ohio.
Miller's promotion comes amid a time of big change for the Dispatch. Earlier this year the Wolfe family sold the paper to New York-based New Media Investment Group. Before the sale, the Wolfes owned the Dispatch for a century.
