Flooding Closes Roads In Union, Marion Counties

Steve Brown, WOSU News
A roadblock keeps drivers off one of the several closed streets in the Union County village of Richwood.

Flood waters are starting to recede, but much of Union, Marion and Delaware Counties remain underwater after heavy rain and flash flooding on Wednesday.

Several streets in the village of Richwood were closed late Wednesday. Several people also reported water damage in their homes and garages.

Flooding was even worse in the Marion county villages of Prospect and Larue, which sit along the floodprone Scioto River.

Many roads along the Scioto remained closed early Thursday.

No injuries were reported.
