Otterbein Graduate Anna Schiffbauer won her open records case before the Ohio Supreme Court.

An Otterbein University graduate who sued for access to on campus police records, while working at a student-run news website won her case yesterday before the Ohio Supreme Court.

Anna Schiffbauer filed suit in February 2014, arguing that the Otterbein Police Department was a governmental body and required to open its books to the public.  WOSU’s Debbie Holmes spoke with Schiffbauer about her legal victory.

Debbie Holmes has worked at WOSU News since 2009. She has hosted All Things Considered, since May 2021. Prior to that she was the host of Morning Edition and a reporter.
