Winter refuses to loosen its grip on Central Ohio. After bitter cold on Monday, temperatures plummeted even more overnight. In the norther Union County village of Richwood, the National Weather Service reported an overnight low of -18 degrees.
Columbus saw the thermometer dip to -10 degrees, a record for February 24. The cold pushed Columbus City Schools and many other districts to cancel classes Tuesday, while some districts opted for a two-hour delay.
