Funeral For Former Mayor Buck Rinehart To Be Held Monday

The funeral for former Columbus Mayor Dana “Buck” Rinehart will be held Monday. He died earlier this week from pancreatic cancer. Visitation will be held this Sunday at the Schoedinger Funeral Home on High Street in Worthington from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral for Rinehart will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at New Hope Reformed Church in Powell. Rinehart was mayor of Columbus from 1984 to 1992. He was the city’s 50th mayor, remembered for his energetic and enthusiastic style. He presided over what has been described as the city’s renaissance. Rinehart was 68 years old.
