Ohio Republican Party Re-Elects State Party Chairman

Ohio Republicans have re-elected their state party chairman to a second two-year term. Matt Borges ran unopposed in the election held by the Republican state central committee. The 66-person committee also appointed Auglaize County businessman James Dicke to fill the Republican National Committee post left vacant by the death last month of former state GOP Chairman Bob Bennett. Dicke, chairman and CEO of Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen, has been a delegate to the past five national conventions and chaired the inaugural medal committee for George W. Bush's 2001 and 2005 presidential inaugurations. Republicans swept all statewide offices in November election.
