Parents Of OSU Players To Get More Travel Money

The College Football Playoff Committee says it will give $1,250 to each parent of a student athlete playing in the National Championship game. Some parents of players, like Annie Apple, mother of OSU defensive back Eli Apple, voiced frustration about expenses for traveling to two playoff games within ten days. Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said he is excited about the decision to give stipend money to families. OSU plays Oregon for the national title Monday night in Dallas. OSU beat Alabama in a national semifinal game on New Year's Day.
