Coroner Identifies Man Killed In Licking County Fire

A coroner's office has identified the man who died in a central Ohio house fire that also left a firefighter injured. The coroner's office in Licking County on Wednesday said 46-year-old James Tapia died in the fire in Union Township. Hebron firefighter Chris Clancy says a firefighter broke his leg after slipping on ice at the scene of the Tuesday night blaze. Clancy says the fire heavily damaged the house. A neighbor reported it around 10 p.m. Clancy says Tapia was the only person in the home at the time and was found near a window at the front of the one-story frame house. Investigators with the state fire marshal's office are trying to determine what caused the blaze.
