South Columbus Restaurant A "Total Loss" After Morning Fire

A section of South High Street has reopened after an early-morning fire at the Ohio Deli and Restaurant. Columbus Fire Chief Tracy Smith says crews arrived at the scene near the intersection of Williams Road around 3:30 am. "We found that the fire was in the roof structure, and it has multiple layers, so we had a tough time getting to it," Smith says. "It appears to be a total loss at this point." No injuries were reported. A Facebook page for the Ohio Deli and Restaurant says it opened 15 years ago. It's best known for its 2.5-pound Dagwood Sandwich, and once appeared on the television show "Man V. Food."
