A soldier from Grove City today is being remembered as a man with a 'tender heart' who loved the army. 27 year old Army specialist, Joseph Riley, was killed in Afghanistan. Pastor Tom Wright at Memorial Baptist Church on Eakin Road says he talked with Riley three weeks ago by skype. "He was very positive, very upbeat, loved what he was doing, wanted to get home, but loved what he was doing, loved his country and wouldn't change anything that he was doing," says Wright Pastor Wright says Riley was a lifelong member of his congregation. He remembered the soldier as 'tender hearted.' "He was a genuine guy, very authentic a hard working fellow. Whatever he did, he did with passion, loved football, played football in high school in Grove City and also in college," says Wright. Riley was killed in Afghanistan this week. The Pentagon has released few details. CBS News reports Riley was killed in a bomb explosion near a military convoy. Funeral arrangements are pending.
