Ohio Unemployment Down In October

Ohio's unemployment rate fell to 5.3 percent for October. The Department of Job and Family Services released last month's figures on Friday morning. The unemployment rate had held steady at 5.7 percent in July and August, then dropped to 5.6 percent for September. The Ohio unemployment rate was slightly better than the national rate, which was 5.9 percent for September. Last year's October unemployment rate was 7.5 percent.
