A 17-year-old in central Ohio has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of murder in adult court in the slaying of a 15-year-old rival gang member. Jesean Callender was sentenced in Franklin County Common Pleas Court Thursday. A jury found him guilty of aggravated murder and other charges in October. Prosecutors say Callender gunned down 15-year-old Kaewaun Coleman on Jan. 17, 2013 as a crowd gathered for a fight in an alley. Callender was 16 years old at the time of the shooting. Judge Tim Horton ordered that Callender have no chance of parole for 36 years. Callender told Horton in court Thursday that he was innocent and had been "stereotyped and profiled" by the jury.
