Update 9:24 p.m. The Secretary of State's election returns website is down. So that will pretty much be it for me tonight. Franklin County Issues and local races are available here. This text document will continue to update throughout the night, so when you click on it, you will be getting the most up to date information. Steve Brown will be here early tomorrow morning to continue updating everything. Technical difficulties are unavoidable, I guess. But the silver lining is there were not many close races in this election. Everything seems to be going just as polls suggested they would. Stay with 89.7 NPR News on the air and online, as Marilyn Smith will continue to update you throughout the night. Update 9:14 p.m. The Gahanna-Jefferson Schools proposed Tax Levy and the Grandview Heights Schools proposed Tax Levy are both passing with absentee ballots counted and a small number of precincts reporting. The Franklin County Children Services tax levy is passing by a wide margin with about 1/10th of precincts reporting. Update 8:54 p.m. Full story on Jon Husted's victory has been added. Update 8:52 p.m. Full story on Mike DeWine's victory has been added. Update 8:44 p.m. With nearly 1,000 precincts reporting, Josh Mandel is widening his lead on Democratic opponent Connie Pillich. Mandel is holding 54 percent of the votes, while Pillich only has 45 percent. Update 8:41 p.m. With absentee ballots only, the Tax Levy for Franklin County Children Services is passing with 70.88 percent of the vote in favor of the levy. Issue 6, Issue 7 and Issue 8 are all passing by a wide margin after absentee ballots. Issue 7 seems to be the only Issue being contested. WOSU's Tom Borgerding wrote about Issue 7 earlier in the week. Update 8:37 p.m. Mike DeWine, Jon Husted and John Kasich are all expected to make their victory speeches with a couple of minutes. All those races are over. Kasich defeated Ed Fitzgerald. Husted defeated Nina Turner and DeWine defeated David Pepper. Results for Franklin County local issues are starting to roll in. Update 8:33 p.m. With 420 precincts reporting.
