A south Columbus woman who told authorities she was experiencing Ebola-like symptoms after returning from West Africa made up the story to get faster treatment. Thats according to authorities who responded to a home on South Champion Avenue in full protective gear last night. Authorities say criminal charges against the woman are possible. Meanwhile in northeast Ohio, at least eight people have been quarantined after having contact with a Texas nurse who was later diagnosed with Ebola. Health officials are expanding their search for people who may have had contact with Amber Vinson, the Texas nurse diagnosed with Ebola, to include another planeload of passengers and shoppers at a bridal store. Vinson flew Monday from Cleveland back to Dallas before being diagnosed with the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is now including passengers on Vinson's Oct. 10 flight from Dallas to Cleveland as part of its investigation of contacts. Officials are investigating whether Vinson had symptoms as far back as Saturday or possibly earlier. Meanwhile, Summit County health officials are seeking anyone who visited Coming Attractions bridal shop in Akron Saturday afternoon, where Vinson also spent time during her visit.
