2 Robbery Suspects Killed In Columbus Police Confrontation

Two robbery suspects are dead and two others have been taken into custody after a police-involved shooting on Columbus' southeast side. Authorities say police were staking out a Dollar General on Alum Creek Drive around 8:45 p.m. Friday, after a series of recent robberies. Police say they saw two suspects enter and hold up a store clerk at gunpoint. Police approached as the suspects fled toward a getaway vehicle. Neighbors reported hearing many gunshots and seeing two men fall on the street. It was unclear if the suspects' weapons had been discharged. Neither the officers nor the two suspects who were arrested were injured. Police haven't released the names of anyone involved or provided further details about the shooting.
