Striking teachers in Reynoldsburg today overwhelmingly approved a new contract agreement. The teacher's union met for hours with its membership before making the announcement. The agreement now clears the way for an end to a strike that began in the district, September 19th. Teachers say the agreement provides class size goals of 25 students for grades K-4; 32 for grades 5-8 and 35 for grades 9-12. The agreement continues employer-provided health insurance. Teachers will pay a portion of the premiums. The contract also includes traditional salary schedule with step increases. The Reynoldsburg school board was expected to call an emergency meeting later today if the contract is approved. ---------
