Central Ohio Man Gets Life In Wife's Killing

A central Ohio man has been sentenced to life in prison after admitting that he killed his wife and hid her body under some boxes in their basement. Prosecutors say 37-year-old David Shockey planned to kill wife Shelly in March so he could be with his 19-year-old mistress. David Shockey pleaded guilty on Monday to aggravated murder in Marion, 45 miles north of Columbus. He'll be eligible for parole after 25 years. Police say 41-year-old Shelly Shockey was strangled and stabbed. Her body was found in the basement by officers who searched the house. David Shockey's girlfriend at the time, 19-year-old Danielle Crokie, also was arrested. She is scheduled for trial in November on charges including complicity to aggravated murder.
