Students in Reynoldsburg will have to stay in class as their teachers remain out on strike. A Franklin County judge yesterday rejected a lawsuit from a parent who claimed schools were unsafe with teachers on the picket line. Also Wednesday, the teachers' union says it asked all members and parents to refrain from picketing at the homes and workplaces of school board members and the superintendent. Teachers have been on strike since Sept. 19. The sticky issues include class sizes and merit-based raises. Negotiators for teachers and the school board left a Sunday bargaining session without a contract, and no new talks are scheduled. Information from the Associated Press was used in this report
